Elastic Retinal ElizaVecca Cream Milky Piggy

A few weeks ago, Elizavecca sent me another package of products to test and review for the blog, and I was ecstatic. This EGF Elastic Retinal Cream was one of the products I was most eager to try but also the most apprehensive about. It appears to be a product that entertainers (especially actresses) use to achieve flawless skin complexion. Now, I’m not sure if I believe that these famous k drama actresses are actually using Elizavecca, but the notion that they are using a retinal cream for this is not implausible.

Retinal is a derivative of Vitamin A (also known as a retinue) and is used primarily for wrinkle care and anti-ageing to give a more youthful complexion; it has been used in skin care since the 1970s, so it is not a new discovery. This is a dermatologist-recommended ingredient, and both over-the-counter and prescription cretinous (which will be pure cretinous) are available for use. Cretinous promote cell renewal, thereby aiding in the elimination of damaged and aged cells. In addition, it thins the top layer of skin while thickening the second, smoother layer, so that the skin appears more radiant and firm. In addition to clearing pores and reducing oil production, it helps to stimulate collagen production and prevent its breakdown as it penetrates deeper into the skin (as stated by Real Simple). Overall, cretinous appears to be a miraculous substance!

In addition to this magic star ingredient, this cream also contains 80% CF-Nest Extract (which is a popular product for Asian beauty as it helps to balance moisture) and EGF (which is suitable for dry weather and helps to strengthen skin nutrition). Despite not being able to determine the percentage of retinal in this product, I decided to purchase it anyway.

Before using this product, please read all instructions or at least finish this review, as retinal is a product that must be introduced gradually to the skin. It’s not okay to just smear it all over your face, because it probably won’t work well.

This item is packaged in an adorable, eye-catching yellow and orange box with a signature elizavecca cer 100 milky piggy illustration. Honestly, I adore how adorable all of Elizavecca’s packaging is; it’s a great way to make skincare enjoyable and, for an ingredient like retinal, a great way to make it less intimidating.

The paper packaging has a nice texture — it does not feel cheap — and the pop-out pig is an interesting touch. Congratulations to Elizavecca on a job well done! There is also an ingenuity sticker for those who wish to verify the authenticity of their products, as the brand has become so popular in recent years that many counterfeits have surfaced. I obtained it from the official company, so there is no doubt about its legitimacy.

Even though the illustrations and typography are so childlike and whimsical, I believe that the continuation of this design onto the inside of the box is the final touch that makes their packaging appear elegant. I never have the heart to throw away their packaging boxes because I find it so fascinating to examine them.

The tub is also quite attractive, with a pig illustration that continues throughout…, and it is made of plastic that feels sturdy. The tub is opaque, allowing for minimal light transmission, and should be kept out of direct sunlight. This is important to remember, as Elizavecca provided the following information:

The product may be decanted for convenience of use or transport, so long as it is not stored in a container made of transparent glass. Additionally, it should be stored in a shady location away from direct sunlight.

Below is a photograph of the tub I received. Since then, they have also updated their design, and the tub’s lid is now orange, which is quite adorable and noticeable. I appreciate that the new design also makes it stand out more against competing products. However, the formula has not changed, so regardless of which version you have, you will continue to receive the same cream.

The tub also includes a spatula, which is convenient because the product is quite liquid. It also has a lid for hygienic purposes, but I dislike this lid. It is the primary factor that makes me feel lazy when I use this every night. It is extremely tight and difficult to remove, so I must use the spatula and my nails to pry it off. There is nothing upon which to rely. In addition, because the tub contains a substantial amount of product, the lid can make the edges messy. It wasn’t until I used up a portion of the tub that it became somewhat simpler, but I’m eager to decant a portion so I don’t have to constantly open it.

Thus, this elizavecca milky piggy peeling pad application is quite intriguing. It has the consistency of a soft, relatively aqueous cream – it is neither too solid nor too liquid. In fact, it is slightly sticky. It is simple to apply and spread, but depending on the amount applied, it may take a while to absorb. In this instance, the cream should be applied in an upward motion, followed by patting it into the skin.

The texture of the cream is intriguing because it forms small strands resembling a glutinous appearance. I am told that this is due to the EGF (?) in the cream, but I actually find it to be quite useful for spreading the cream. I attempted to take a good photo of this texture, but I failed, so I’ve included a picture from their website below.

Utilize this cream at night for optimal results. Contrary to skincare myths, it can be used during the day without negative side effects, but UV rays break down the retinal ingredient, so it will be less effective. Still, it is recommended to use sunscreen if you plan to use this product during the day.
